About us
"3BK" stands for the "three Brown kids." That refers to Jeromy Brown, Amanda (Brown) Guthrie and Ryan Brown, we are brothers/sister. Our family has been in Oklahoma for four generations - and we are raising the fifth!

What is 3BK?

Our mom and dad were both raised in Grady County, Oklahoma and were married for thirty-six years when mom passed after a hard battle with cancer. Our dad, Gerald “Mac” lives close by. He is “retired” and runs a large herd of Piedmontese cattle on the very farm where he was literally born and raised.
Growing up we lived in states all over the southeast. Dad was in the timber/sawmill industry so we went where the trees were! Every summer we came to our grandparents’ farms and helped with hay, wheat harvest and cattle. In 1994, mom and dad moved back to Oklahoma to live on the family farm and ranch, and we all followed home. Now we run cattle in fields we once went across with grandparents and we help dad when he needs us – and lets us.
Running cattle together sounds great, but when a calf is being born in the middle of the night and you have to check it and it’s been a long day, well siblings can be short with each other. We all have great spouses that help all the time – without them we wouldn’t make it. We’ve made a lot of mistakes – and will make more. But we believe these cattle are special and have something to offer that we haven’t seen before, so we keep going. We believe that “to whom much is given much is required” and we want to be good managers of what we have been given.
